Final thoughts for Halloween 2013.

It’s funny. A last minute, ‘go for it anyway’, even though I might not have enough to pull it off, scraping together every ounce of corn and raven grass I can find thrown together corn tunnel has become the enduring image of this year’s haunt for me.

The vision so impressed upon many a young child that few went through without their parents.

The Burial ground was a similar last minute ‘why the heck not’ addition that turned out rather well.

I’m always amused by the glow chalk on the side. We expanded the canvas a little bit this year, thanks to our kind neighbor allowing me to put up colored lights over his garage in place of his bright white ones.

Interesting oddities from the trick or treaters this year:

I counted 5 “Thing 1” costumes…but only one of them had a “Thing 2” in tow.
I was handing out “magic” glow bracelets to those frightened little ones. There’s nothing more hilarious than watching them hold that stick WAY up high, as instructed.
Then, there were those too scared to even get the bracelet in the first place…Ah well.

Updated the slideshow below, and now including a video.
