Fleshing out the Barghest

Putting the last little bits of monster mud on the Barghest over the weekend. I’ld proclaim the monster mud finished, but I’ve decided to hide a couple tie downs into the legs. Sure, it stands up just fine as is, but I want it to withstand weather if it needs to, and hiding a couple tie downs should be no problem.

With some luck, I should be able to get some painting accomplished on Friday.

Walpurgisnacht approaches…

Our goal is to have the Barghest finished by Walpurgisnacht.

If the thing wasn’t giving me such lengthy dry times in between possible mud sessions, that would actually be looking quite likely at this point. As it stands, we’re having to wait almost a full week in between working sessions. Weather…ah well, we need the moisture to grow pumpkins later.

As it is, we’re probably going to be MOSTLY done, but ALL done? Don’t know about that. It’ll be done enough to be out if the weather is good.

Easter.

The Barghest went through a little testing over the weekend.

Few things need improving, but it’s coming along quite well. Almost to another decision coming up. Do I keep this one, or sell it?

Barghest taking shape.

Working back to front, the Barghest is slowly taking shape.

Little bit of a wiring test, gotta make sure all that is working before I go making it hard to re-do.

Step one of the ribs complete.

Hoping to have him close enough to complete for a debut on Walpurgisnacht.
